Village of Lansing Accomplishments
May 1996 through April 1997

Completed rebuilding of Oakrest Road and the Oakrest Road water main.

Completed a walkway that joins Highgate Circle to the Triphammer area apartments
and malls.

Developed a plan for reconstruction of Triphammer Road which was submitted
to NY DOT for partial funding through the Federal Highway Program.

Developed an affordable plan for providing needed meeting space in the
Village Office.

Negotiated an agreement with Tompkins County concerning zoning at the airport.

Set up E-mail for office staff and facilitated residents' ability to communicate
with the Village; upgraded Village office computers, and maintained our
World Wide Web site.

Arranged for 6 years of cable franchise payments to be reimbursed to the
Village and cooperated with area municipalities to create a model cable
franchise contract.

Strengthened the voice of the Village on the Town of Lansing Board of Fire
Commissioners.

Kept the potholes filled, water running in the water mains and sewer safely
conducted to the Cayuga Heights Treatment plant.

Managed idle funds to acquire a higher rate of return.

Synchronized traffic lights across the Triphammer bridge.
